Media Info

Welcome to the 32nd season of Orlando Magic basketball and 11th in the Amway Center. We sincerely appreciate your interest in the Magic and will do everything possible to meet your needs throughout the course of the season. This information is supplemented with materials on a regular basis during the year. Again, if we can ever be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to call on us. In an effort to continue to provide a professional working environment, we have established the following guidelines for the upcoming campaign.

In order to provide as safe an environment as possible and socially distance media covering games, we will have a limited number of credentials available. Season-credentialed media must still e-mail us at to reserve a seat.

Information in regard to credential pick-up will be provided.

Single-game credentials must be requested 72 hours in advance and will be reviewed with space limitations in mind. For ALL credential requests, please e-mail

There will be NO media access on the Event level of the arena, other than entering via the Media Entrance (see below). ALL interviews will continue to be conducted virtually.

Each credential holder agrees not to attend the applicable game/event (or other team activities) if any one or more of the following is true on such day:

  • Within the prior 14 days, the holder has (or any person with whom the holder has had close contact has) tested positive for, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19;
  • Within the prior 48 hours, the holder has (or any person with whom the holder has had close contact has) experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4⁰F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention); or
  • Within the prior 14 days, the holder has (or any person with whom the holder has had close contact has) travelled to a state or international territory identified by federal or applicable local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.

We are working on a pre-arrival health screening as well and will keep you updated.

The Amway Center Media Entrance is located on the Southwest corner of the building (corner of South Street and Division Avenue). Upon entering the building, signage will direct you to media seating, which will now be located on the Club Level (level 4) and Press Level (level 7).

A media workroom has been relocated to the Club Level (Suite 15) as well, although because of safety concerns there will be no media dining.

Media seating/workspace will be located in two main areas – The Media Loge on the Club Level (level 4) and in the Press Box on the Press Level (level 7).

There will also be three photographer/videographer locations to shoot from:

  • Club Level – Center Court (level 4)
  • Club Level Media Work Room – Suite 15 (level 4)
  • Terrace Level (level 3) Top of Section 101 (Bud Light Baseline Bar)

Media must e-mail to reserve photo/video space. Please note, for health and safety, the building is being zoned and everyone will be credentialed to a particular zone, of which you will have to remain to cover games.

Media who have been issued parking passes last year may continue to use those passes for the time being. Parking is also available in the Geico Garage for $20. Satellite TV truck parking will be provided for up to four satellite trucks on the west side of Division Street. For technical assistance with TV truck and satellite truck parking and coordination, please contact Sara Foults in the Magic’s Broadcast Technology and Services Department at (407) 916-2908.

The Magic locker room is located on the northwest corner of the event level, while the visitors’ locker room is located on the southwest corner. In accordance with NBA policy, both locker rooms will be open 75 minutes prior to tip-off until 45 minutes before game time and 15 minutes after the game. Only those individuals with prominently displayed credentials will gain admittance into the locker rooms. Your cooperation and courtesy are asked in maintaining proper working atmosphere for postgame interviews.

All practice, shootaround, pre-game and postgame interviews will be conducted virtually via Zoom. Please contact a member of the Orlando Magic Communications Staff for Zoom Meeting IDs/Passcodes. This is the most convenient way to cover the team, whether it be for practices or games.

Game notes and a limited number of media guides and game programs will be available before the start of the game in the Media Loge/Press Level. These can also be accessed electronically on this website (see GAME NOTES and MEDIA GUIDE tabs). Box scores will be posted in a prompt manner at the end of each quarter via Twitter on the Communication Department’s official handle – @Magic_PR.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate this unprecedented time and do our best to make you feel that extensive safety protocols have been put in place. If there is anything else that we can do to assist in your coverage of the Magic this NBA season, please don’t hesitate to ask.
